Ex Paratrooper, "Soldier J" arrested over the Bloody Sunday shootings in Londonderry/Derry 1972.

Personally, as so many PIRA are out on licence via an amnesty, I hope "J" gets the same treatment if found to be guilty.

Or the Judge & Jury are as orange as fake tan.

Two sets of rules exist sadly. One for murdering, criminal, terrorist scum and one for the rest of us.

Sadly you are right Tiny Toy. My mate was in the East Anglican Regiment in those days, his Saracen APC was hit by a rocket propelled grenade, he escaped unscathed physically but he still bears the mental scars today.

I wonder whether those who voted for the "Good Friday Agreement" would do so now?

No why do you ask? I actually should have said the Royal Anglian Regiment. The event took place in the early 1970.s.

Aidan, there's not a lot of point airing your grievances here.

Nothing positive will be achieved.

With the latest news reports on the Bloody Sunday, I only hope that the defence sectary ensures that M.O.D. gets the best legal support for the ex paratrooper. I cannot express my views but our political masters must have been asleep.

This all really pisses me off, (though I sympathise with those that lost a loved one) but.....
Equality!
Only go after squaddies if they are also going after all the terrorists, on both sides.
Oh wait, not going after the IRA etc, so they shouldn't go after the armed forces either.

But there's nothing equal about equality when your the majority/good guys.
