I hear they are going to purchase them with potatoes this time.arfah wrote:Argentine defence news.
So every time Argentina tries to purchase some jet fighters it can be posted here instead of the Falklands thread

So does the new government mean they're actually going to focus on fixing the problems at home rather than waving the Malvinas banner around to distract the populace whenever things go wrong?

So they haven't been paid for and no more are being sent? The project plans to upgrade as many as 20 frames from Argentine Air Force stocks, but currently only one set of re-modeled wings has been received from IAI and it is unclear if more will be forthcoming in the near term.

Re: Argentina
From Defense Industry Daily news letter. An earlier deal to purchase second-hand Kfir Block 60 fighters from Israel has been put on hold indefinitely amid issues over weapons systems and upgrades. The newly elected government of Maurico Macri will be responsible for obtaining replacement fighters subject to available funding.
Looks like their future air force will be made up of paper airplanes the way they are going.

That is a little unfair don't you think? I am sure they will have a few kites too, for air-shows and impressing the Falklanders.Little J wrote:From Defense Industry Daily news letter. An earlier deal to purchase second-hand Kfir Block 60 fighters from Israel has been put on hold indefinitely amid issues over weapons systems and upgrades. They still have some Pucaras to pretend they still have a real Air Force with .Little J wrote:Looks like their future air force will be made up of paper airplanes the way they are going.
Re: Argentina
Would they include the one parked at Duxford?
Even though it's on British soil doesn't mean it isn't still Argentinian

It's quite surprising the old hag Kirchner didn't spend the last 10 years complaining to the UN for the return of the Pucaras as well .Little J wrote:Would they include the one parked at Duxford?
