The l85 that was shown had an l86 rear grip, I'm wondering if it was real or airsoft.

The Telegraph used the metric "coach load of terrorists". He also had 14 legal firearms, that's quite a number in itself!

In the Australian gun buy back after the Port Arthur murders there was all sorts nanded in including a mortar used by a farmer to clear kangaroos fron the paddock ,some were kept for the Imperial war museum most were destroyed, included in the rifles sent to the museum were rare examples of the .303 converted to automatic, for which the owner was paid very well.

Re: UK Illegal arms find.
There were stories of little old ladies coming in by tram to hand in their late hubbies rifles wrapped in a blanket ,and the the person estimating their value would find these to be fully loaded .

Almost 20 soldiers struggled to remove the tank from a villa on Thursday in a wealthy suburb of Kiel in northern Germany, after police searching the property discovered the tank, a torpedo, an anti-aircraft gun and other weapons in the cellar on Wednesday.

One of the most disgusting debacles in Aus history.seaspear wrote:The hand-in I was refering to in Australia was a gun buy scheme back no questions asked amnesty ,there were some very generous prices paid ,so much so that there were suggestions some were being imported just to be handed in
Not only full firearms, but "components" as well. People getting paid handsomely for firing pins, stocks, etc, etc.
There was a roaring trade at engineering companies making "bits" that vaguely resembled actual parts, just for handing in and being paid out!
All of which has affected the black-market trading, not one little bit.

Re: UK Illegal arms find.
well with the new EU deac laws meant to be becoming law in April, the new EU firearms directive due sometime in June and ACPO pushing for more and more to be banned the in the UK soon expect to see photos and footage of senior police officers and politicians with piles of guns about to go for destruction spouting forth about how they have been taken out of the hands of criminals(no actually ordinary citizens who have had the law changed on them) and its making the streets safer. But when the crime figures come out there will be a brief rise (as law abiding people are caught out) no noticible long term difference in the stastics.
Re: UK Illegal arms find.
I saw some fifty calibre parts that looked lik they had been at the bottom of a dam for fifty years, even a gun for launching ship to ship lines was destroyed ,rare mid nineteenth century winchester repeating rifles very collectable destroyed money was paid out for their destruction even cleaning kits
