I would dearly love to see around 20 of these purchased to compliment/replace some elements (Buffulos?) in Talisman Convoys. Looks like a properly excellent system.

Does look a good system. What I particularly like is it seems capable of normal general engineering tasks when not required for anti mine/IED clearance. So you wouldn't need dedicated vehicles that in many instances are not needed. Look how quickly the MOD have disposed of dedicated platforms once the operations they have been purchased for is over. Unless their is a requirement for such an armoured general engineer vehicle I cant see it being purchased unfortunately.

Terrific vehicle. Very practical & has so many uses. Just typical of the UK to not purchase it.

An example of those uses?
It looks fun and all that, but what makes it so practical?

I think the basic gist is that it combines many of Talisman's things into one vehicle, I recall TD did a thing on it once saying that a good chunk of Talisman (Buffulo, Panama etc) could be replaced by it.

I'll refer you to Retrosicottes post above. He beat me too it. The thread on the vehicle on TD was very informative. Instead of having multiple vehicles of different types, this thing would do it all in one & also be able to act as a simple digger when required (obviously far more expensive than an armoured jcb though)

So, route clearance, with a side order of excavating? It might be good for it, but it's a unique vehicle with a specialist role.
