Not surprised, though. Unknowingly (at the time when he was the Crown Prince) had booked myself into an Akaba hotel that I thought was at the end of the road, out of town. Not so: the Royal Palace was not marked on the map, and when the man arrived, with helicopter gunships flying in circles around the descending transport, in the middle of the night, I was sure that WW3 had broken out.
Ever-lasting truths: Multi-year budgets/ planning by necessity have to address the painful questions; more often than not the Either-Or prevails over Both-And.
